Reviews
As a catfish lover, I was really curious about this catfish fillet. When I arrived, the line was long, but the service was fast because the waiter was frying it all the time. The idea is interesting. The catfish was delicious yesterday, but for some reason, it tasted very salty to me, both in the crunchiness, the coating, and the meat itself. So I didn't really enjoy the catfish fillet. The chili sauce was all devil's chili, so spicy, it kept my eyes open. A portion of catfish fillet and rice was only IDR 20,000, totally worth it. You can pay cash or via QRIS. A must-try if you're in the Pondok Labu area. I'll try another dish next time, hopefully it won't be too salty.
Sorry to say, I think this is overrated. I was really curious because all the reviews said it was delicious. Maybe I just got unlucky. When I tried the catfish, the fillet was super thin and mostly flour-coated. The catfish was also still a bit dry and not very fresh. The coating tasted very salty. The batter tasted like salted breadcrumbs. I think the chili sauce is still pretty good, quite spicy. But unfortunately, there were a lot of chili peppers in my chili sauce yesterday, making it a bit tricky to eat. This is my first time eating dry food, but it tasted really dry. Hopefully, this will be a point for improvement in the future. 🙂
The catfish fillet was delicious, tender on the inside and crispy on the outside. The chili sauce was also good. The price was affordable.
You know about this place to eat from Bang Mpin's YouTube channel. Because we were curious about what pecel catfish fillet was like, we went there. it turns out delicious!! There's no earthy smell and there's no fishy smell either, the taste is delicious and the size of the fillet is quite large in my opinion plus the chili sauce is deliciously spicy, not too spicy. The fried tempe was also delicious, unfortunately when I got there the gizzards were gone. I'll go there again haha the prices are also relatively cheap with filling portions. For those who are confused about the position because on Google Maps the point is wrong. You can just search for 'M&G Stationery' Pondok Pumpkin because it's opposite this stationery shop or 'Jl. Wildlife No. 1', so that immediately directs you to its location. cusss try it!
